The
Hayfield School (11-18): A Foundation School
The community secondary school for Auckley is The Hayfield School
on Hurst Lane in Auckley. Its a Foundation school (ex Grant Maintained)
within Doncaster LEA with a high local and national reputation for its
examination results, extra curricular pupil clubs, strong pastoral care,
and its own Further Education evening programme. The school is 6 form
entry (180 in each year group 7 to 11) with a sixth form of 230: 1,130
in all. Pupils attending Auckley and Hayfield Lane Primary Schools,
who live in the catchment, normally transfer to The Hayfield School
at age 11 under criteria 1 of The Hayfield Admissions Policy (pupils
living in the catchment).
The school
allows its sports facillities (and forthcoming 'Astroturf' pitch in
2004-05) to be used by local community groups.

publishers regular Newsletters, a range of booklets including a full prospectus,
and an F.E. programme booklet.
The school occupies an extensive site and in 2003 had a new Science and
